Day 1: 1 Hour Walk

Today my wife and I started our journey of getting fit.  Yup you heard it right, getting fit!

My daughter goes to Hermano Miguel Intergrated School and from here there is a subdivision that is not that much populated yet.  Since we're both BIG we decided to loose some weight and trim down.  We packed our shoes and water jug and head on for a very long, tiring but Happy walk.

We started by stretching our muscles, arms and knees and then head on for a jog.  We stopped by the Shrine and made 40 repetitions of jumping jack, stairs and circled around the for about 1 repetition.  Then we head on back to the car park.

On day 2 we are planning to walk/ run/ jog 3 times.

Rolla Lift

As I was searching the net today for a new template I stumbled upon a site that offers free templates.  I've searched and tried many different templates until I chanced upon this Travel Affair template.  I tried it and showed it to my friends and got good feedback.

Welcome to the the new Rolla template.

Flat Tire!

I woke up around 4PM last Thursday only to see that one of my front tire was FLAT!  What the heck happened here?  I removed it immediately and it took me 20+ minutes to remove it, why?  Because I do not know how to use the jack that came with my car.

I then brought it to a nearby vulcanizing shop where they immediately filled it with air and to our surprise air came out hissing very fast.  Lo and behold we found out that the tire itself got stuck on the lip of the mags.  To my relief they were able to fix it.

Time for me to get a new set of tires...

Health Update

Last Monday we visited my wife's endocrinologist and we got some good news.  Her TSH already went down to 1.00 from 30.00 in probably 2 months time.  We were advised to continue with her medicines Euthyrox and Janumet and see him again after 2 months.

We then went to her Neurologist last Tuesday and because she is slimming down, getting sexier her anti-anxiety meds were reduced to half-table every other day for a month and she now stopped taking anti-cholesterol drugs.  On our next appointment she'll be having blood chemistry exams and we are hoping for good results.

According to her doctors she had the following conditions:

Rolla's Battery Got Discharged

Yesterday my car battery failed on me.  I forgot to turn off my headlights last night while I was at work.  When I tried starting my car I couldn't hear a noise or even a click to let me know that current is flowing.

Lo' and behold, it won't start.  I started looking for someone who has a jumper cable so that I could start it up but my searching failed.  Luckily one of my former NAM team mates Brian Arica had his car parked right in front of mine, I hurriedly call my brother-in-law to teach me what should I do.

He told me that I need to get a good known working battery, Brian has a 2SMF while I have 1SNF.  He told me to tap connect my wires to the correct poles and start the car.  It worked like a charm, next thing he told me to do is to remove the positive wire and make sure that it won't contact/ touch any metal part for this would cause a short circuit.  After removing the positive wire I then removed the negative wire and reconnected them red/ positive comes first and soon enough I was heading back home.

Right after changing my outfit I immediately took the car battery to our good old battery charging friend for Php 60.00 they charged it all up and it is now working.
